Tina McKinnor is a small business owner and is the Civic Engagement Director for LA VOICE, a multi-racial, multi-faith, community-based organization dedicated to equity and abundance for all.
Our Assembly District is in a renaissance. From Space X to SoFi Stadium and from Lawndale to West Los Angeles, we are seeing the benefits and the impacts of renewed interest in our business corridors and neighborhoods. COVID-19 has elevated the discussion about our healthcare system. Citizens are demanding new approaches to community safety and immigration. Small businesses need support to thrive and succeed.
That’s why I’m running for State Assembly.
I raised my children in this district. My small business is here. I have lived and been an active resident in Inglewood, Hawthorne, and Lawndale, where became the co-founder and President of the Lawndale Democratic Club.
Due to redistricting, the district’s boundaries will change and on December 5, 2022 our area will become Assembly District 61.
On June 7th, 2022, Tina McKinnor is on the ballot to begin a new, full, two-year term to represent our new Assembly District.
In the April 5th Special Election triggered by the sudden resignation of Autumn Burke, Tina McKinnor led all candidates. She won 39% of ballots cast, advancing to the June 7th Special General Election.
The winner will take office immediately and complete the unexpired term ending in December 2022.
